Newcomb Macklin, high quality frame, looks like an engraving that’s been cut to fit, not a lithograph.
Laima, do be kind enough in the future to post good quality photographs. It helps us help you. Works should be photographed straight on, both front and back including frame. Close-up photographs of signatures, stickers, labels and handwritten notations should be in focus. The horizontal label likely carries the name of your work's publisher which would be helpful in determining age and scarcity but... it is illegible. Debora
Hi Debora, I understand, just here is the night already and my phone doesn't do a good picture. Thank you for your advice. Just that label is already bad to see something, plus my camera not very good. I was not able to notice That it is Launay without magnifying it. Therefore I doubt that even day time it will be enough good picture. I will try to update tomorrow
Thanks for adjusting the pictures. In the new unit of time, its worth something or no? Thanks for any answer. Gravure is very nice when the sun shines directly to it.
An engraving by Nicholas Delaunay after a painting by Fragonard, "La Bonne Mere", 1779. Probably original. Though the original image is oval, the print would initially have been a rectangular format with the title and collection and whatnot under the image. Made trimming for an oval frame easy. The arms are slightly different on this (they could be easily edited), but it shows how the print would have looked:
