My photos are not very good, but they'll have to do for now. This little set belonged to my great aunt and was given to me when she died in the 1970's. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it.

    top 2 pieces are 2 1/2" tall; lidded container is 1" tall w/o lid, & 3 1/2" in diameter

I've always assumed it was depression era glass, but I've never been quite sure of the intended use for all the pieces. (Sugar, creamer, and...?)

The pattern, too, seems a bit unusual: the design almost makes the pieces look like little drums, and whatever it is on the top of the covered container looks oddly like a pickle!

All of the design is raised and feels quite rough on the surface. The bottoms of all 3 containers have raised "stripes" across them: 6 on the lidded one, 5 each on the other two.

    Thanks for any insight!

Could you take a shot straight on from the side, not looking down at them? Like this:

It does look like a drum, maybe the finial is a cannon?

I think it's a bit earlier than Depression era...try searching Higbee drum pattern...you'll get some hits. Going by dimensions it must be a child size toy set...very cute!

I can't vouch for this attribution, but hopefully more research or verification by another boardie will.

    Thanks, Marie!
The set is packed away right now, but I found some more, older photos of it. They're not great, either, but here's the best one I have of a piece from the side:

Another huge THANKS! to all of you who replied!

I have to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised (and then some!) to find out so much about Great Aunt Grace's little drum set.

    Thanks again.
