McCain has Paneled Smocking listed as US Glass Co.- Barlett Collins, 1920s

No. Don't know if Barlett Collins did the decoration or someone else. They made the glass.
US Glass Company was an umbrella company for Ripley, Tiffin, Bartlett Collins, etc.
About a dozen companies came together in the late 1890s to form the US Glass Company.
You'll have to look up the details for the correct dates and all the companies. My memory isn't all that good anymore.

    Adding:
    Adams, Bryce were others

Bartlett Collins grew out of Pioneer Fliint Glass Co which was formed in 1903 went bankrupt and had a fire so it is unlikely that the principals kept the same coroporate charter. Some of them organized Bartlett Collins of Sepulva, OK in 1923. It was never part of U S Glass per information in Welker's Pressed glass summary.

I will defer to your knowledge.
I looked the pattern up in McCain. She had US Glass Co, Bartlett Collins. So rather than checking, I stated what she had written.

When asked if Bartlett Collins was a decorating house, that is when I assumed it was one of the companies that formed US Glass. I made an error based on McCain's info. I knew US Glass was a combine of different glass houses, so I assumed Bartlett was one of them.

Obviously I was wrong. My apologies. That is why it is important to double check info.

    Thanks George for correcting me.
    This site is the best.

curious: these same images were used at Collectors Weekly two years ago and the USG attribution was commented at that time.

I agree US Glass maker. McCain was wrong with the Bartlett Collins. Cluttered much has been learned since McCain wrote her book so some refernces need to be double checked.

I didn't realize. Guess I better start double checking more often.
    Thanks George.

If you are on Facebook the Early American Pattern Glass Society has a wealth of information on patterns and makers. There is also a pictorial section organized bye shape then maker if known. Also lists by pattern names OMN and aka s. You do have to ask to join so folks who do not follow the rules can be removed.

    Thanks, I'm not on facebook.
The only site where I am a member is here. I do very little interaction on the computer. This site being the only exception.
I am not technically connected. Still have a flip phone that is usually not even charged.

Guess I should amend that to say that this is the only current site I am a member of.
I had joined ebay. Have not participated there once this site was formed.
