Sterling Charles Hougham 1790

    Hi,
    I need help to figure out what this sweet little piece is. The hallmarks (I think) are for 1790 London Charles Hougham. This is 4 1/2"L x 2 1/2W x 1"D, seems small for a sauce boat and the spout part is very narrow. This doesn't sit flat anymore or maybe it had a stand?
    Any information appreciated

    Looks like someone crimped the spout closed for some reason at a later date.

    Pap boat, possibly. The spout does look squashed.

    Pap boat - I've never heard that before but from looking around that is what this is, thanks af

    I kept thinking I know what this is, but I couldn't think of the word!

    I agree with the others, it looks like a pap boat.
