I'm thinking Fostoria. Is the color called amber, yellow or something else? Age?

    Amber would be the color.

I don't think the decanter was original to the glasses. Might be an entirely different maker.

Thanks so much! Do you think it looks like Fostoria?

Can you show just one side of the bowl? You can put a piece of cloth inside the bowl or shoot the pic from the top so you are only getting one side.

  6. A shot at a 45 degree angle into the bowl of the stem, against a dark background would be helpful. It is impossible to make out the etching against the white background.

I agree, the decanter would have had cordial glass with it. These stems are water glasses I think, they hold about 9 oz?

And what classicquejunque said about the dark background

Greetings! I started researching what I could in my books for you earlier today, but now see others have already asked for a better view of the etch. Since I couldn't make that out either, I did try hunting for the blank (stem shape)...didn't see it in my Fostoria Vol II book, nor in my Replacements Crystal Stemware book as Fostoria, either, and did check a few other likely suspects, but not the whole book. I also checked my Elegant Glass book...sorry no luck...I'm no glassie by any streatch, just have some books...but now you have some experts looking for you;)
