Hi, does anyone recognise this logo please? Trying to identify who made these glasses. Thanks 20200502_145549.jpg

The G inside a protractor is a major symbol for the Masons.

Yes, the main Masonic symbol. But they did not make the glasses.

Isn't a protractor the thing that measures angles? Think this symbol uses a compass & a square.

You are correct, Bronwen. Sometimes the brain offers up words it hasn't used in while and the fingers go with it. ;)

In case it's not apparent, the Freemason's symbol does not represent the company that made the shot glasses. They could be personalized or just made to sell to that market.

I had to really scrounge in my memory of 10th grade geometry for the words. 'Square' came right up, but had the darndest time trying to summon up 'compass'. Kept wanting to call it a radio-something (from radius). I would not have any trouble finding the word for the gizmo that tells you which way is north. Memory is a weird thing.

Have you checked the bottoms for the name of the manufacturer? Sometimes it's etched into one of the cuts. Tilt the tumblers upside down at several angles and in different lights, not all crystal is signed though.

I would assume they were specially commissioned by Johnnie Walker to accompany the limited edition bottles in a presentaion pack.
The Whisky will be long gone so just the glasses left hanging around.

    BTW @Louise88

In your title, Whiskey refers to Irish and American Whiskies.

Whisky is the Scottish spelling, as in Scotch Whisky.:D

Other half bought me a 20cl bottle of Blue Label. It costs about 30 quid for that size. I sipped it. Slowly.

I suspect that these were commissioned by one of the state Grand Lodges as a fund raiser. I would start with Westmoreland as their founder was an active Mason.
