Chinese Or European??Small Dish

    Hello guys,it's been some time since my last post.So i want ask for your opinion,what do you think this small dish are?do they european or chinese?if this chinese i'm thinking about qing dynasty 17-18th century,any opinion are welcome,thank you

    Not sure if its chinese or European but if it is chinese I don't think they are that old.

    Good to hear from you. What characteristics do you think make it qing dynasty 17-18th century? Design, glaze, clay, lack of mark or something else?

    They look like Chinese sauce-plates. You know, those things for soy sauce, vinegar, and chili...

    well usually glaze,pattern,the colour and the condition is a good thing to identified the item,but for this one i don't know i think i ever saw the pattern somewhere in qing dynasty flower pattern,but i'm not sure so i'm asking for the opinion here :angelic:

    yeah,in here we called it peanut plate for these kind of small dish

    yes,unfortunately that's not mine,i just got offer,so i'm looking for opinions,haha..well you know AJ i've been collecting hundreds of old chinese ceramics and terracota while i'm away from this forum for some months,but i'm still don't have time to take a good picture one by one to sharing here,:blackeye:

    that's good to hear,seems many peranakan here :smuggrin:

    Seriously though, I think we just have 3 and a bit. With yours truly being the bit, just a few drops of Peranakan blood.

    Looking at the hand in the picture, they look a bit large to be used for that.

    Pattern is unusual, not readily seen in the west AFAIK

    yes,i think it's quite bit unsual,well you know out there,there's still more unsual pattern of old chinese ceramic waiting to be found,even i've witness a qing export ceramic of 18th century with jesus crucific it was made only for european,amazing:wacky:

    My Peranakan ancestry dates from the Majapahit era, too long ago.
