Unusual, Probably Not To You Experts, Compote

[/ATTACH] I've had this piece probably over 25 years. Don't remember where I got it. It stands 6" tall and measures 6" across. What is unusual to me is the pattern. It's like little chunks of glass have been cut out in the shape of the pattern and then filled with gold paint. Any info on this piece, maker, age, what type of pattern this is called, greatly appreciated!

 

I'd say call it a tazza, but I don't think that helps. I called a something a tazza once, and no one even looked.

Why do you call it a Hovercraft?

 

Hovercraft? LOL! The reason for that is, I was taking pics one day. My neighbors little boy about 2 years old, was here. He went into the computer room and started playing with the keyboard. Lucky me, I now have about 25 items named Hovercraft! Is that a word?

Nice gold filled decoration. I d not know who made the glass or did the decorating but both are good quality.

 

The word hovercraft categorically does not originate from the Hunger Games.

 

One of the military was playing with making hovercraft (or maybe it was automobile makers?) MANY DECADES AGO!!!!!!!!!
