Kingjoker, your little birds are very sweet.

I'm thinking that they're not terribly old and that they're made of some sort of cast composite material, but I could be wrong.

Marble (or stone) will be much heavier than composite. The one bird seems to have a glaze on it?

If it's a bird bath I'm sure it would be some type of thinner pourable concrete mixture probably with additives for color and texture to make it look like some kind of stone that is poured into molds - I just can't imagine that it was carved from a block of marble - that thing would have been so expensive only Royalty would have been able to afford it. :)

Does white marble have a specific gravity?

    Hi,
The substance is _____ sulfate. It is poured into many things made to resemble marble. I usually find birds made this way. It has a very bitter taste. Is it ammonium sulfate??? No that is fertilizer for the yard.
