I have a pair of fire dogs as pictured in the attached. Is anyone able to give me any idea what age they might be, and whether they could be worth anything?

    Any help much appreciated.

Assume they are heavy cast iron? Done in a medieval hammered gothic look. Would work in a Tudor revival home quite nicely. Probably 20th century, pre-WWII. Value is not that great. It is the kind of thing I would pick up for around $15.00 for the pair and sell in the $50.00 range here in the Midwest. You might do a bit better in some locations.

I think late 19th century at the earliest and probably more likely 20th century. Think arts and crafts movement, on in to the historical revival movements of the 20s and 30s. I really think the latter. Similar usually sell on ebay under $100.00. For what it is worth, I have generally sold nice andirons better on ebay than what I can get locally. Your location may be very different than mine.
