Hello - found these at a yard sale a few years back - signed and dated by the same artist - good sized - about 16x24" each. I never could figure out the artist's name from the signatures - anyone have any guesses?

Agreed :) - I think they are quite beautiful. One part of the script I can make out is the dates which appear to be in German - July 1915 and June 1916 - and I believe that the writing below the signature on the green one says St Gallen - probably St Gallen - Switzerland.

The last name looks like Sluki to me. I haven't been able to find anything.

    They are very pretty.

Sluki or Slucki does seem like a reasonable reading of the signature. Thanks again for your help!

Yes, Slucki is what I should have written.

Hi Bev, interesting ... Stucki does seem to be a Swiss name - and the famous Swiss artist Hodler was married to a Stucki for a while. May never find who made these but I sure love them!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

On the front the sig looks like it could be Willy Stucki. On the back, it looks more like Rucki to me.
