Picked up these two items that I need help with all other I knew from learning on here :)

First is this Carnival glass piece. I want to say it is Grape and Leaves. Am I correct on this?

This piece I found interesting. I am not sure if its a Fenton or what. It was listed as just white opalescent dish. It has great curves to it. Any insight as to what it actually is? Also is that a crack inside the glass. I do not feel it on either front or back.

The first one is not grapes and leaves, leaves are wrong, my thoughts are blackberry/raspberry.

I'm going by an old memory, so could be wrong. The first one is by Indiana Glass, pattern called Loganberry.

I agree Loganberry marigold iridescent too new for carnival. Readily available. A profile photo of the opalescent bowl would help make an ID available.

I think the opalescent piece is called Argonaut Shell. Komo, your photo looks professional. Wish I could do that. Do you have a special photographic background screen? Lovely.

I agree with Pam, the opalescent piece is Nautilus aka Argonaut Shell. Made by Northwood and Dugan. 1898 to 1910 Although table service pieces were made in this pattern, they also took some of the table service pieces and made them into what is called "whimsy's" or novelty pieces.

See Charles.......the right pic...and good answers flow like a swollen river.....

Sorry Ola.....1st good pic I stole off the web.....although....to get a pic like this u need the proper lighting and a roll of medium thick white wrapping or crafting paper . Lay the paper on a large flat surface and unroll a couple of feet behind the item in an upward furl .
A shelf to support the roll, or hanging it from the ceiling will work .
Once the paper below gets old scuffed or marked...tear it away and unfurl another appropriate length.........Ta Da !!!

& that's the tip of the day from your friendly neighborhood....amateur photog !!!

Take a look at the 3 Argonaut pictures and you can see why the profile is important. Because this is a whimsy the foot was especially helpful. Your photos are good just not the better views. Kemple also made some of this pattern but not the white opalescent like yours.

Thanks for the photo tips. I will certainly keep that photo tip in mind when I have more to ID. Thanks for the ID on this piece also.
