Featured MORE Victorian Purses......

Here are the other 3 purses I found in my Mother-in-Law's stuff. The first one is missing one of the tassels on the bottom. It's cloth, and cinches at the top. Not sure if it's a purse or used for something else? The second is missing some of the beads, and the inside looks a little dirty? The 3rd is very delicate, and some of the beads fall off when picking it up. It's been stored in a plastic bag. Any info on these would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

 

I really like the second one. Too bad it is not in good repair.

I believe the third one was sold as a kit and ladies would have made this one. It's fairly common. Mostly in navy, but also in other colors.

Some of the others may have been kits as well.

I was going to suggest a reticule. See sellers are calling them reticule purses.

 

I like the first one!
Due to the presence of the decorative dangles, I'd guess that it was indeed meant to be used as a purse and not simply some type of storage bag. If it were mine, I'd remove the dangles and re-space them evenly, then the loss of one wouldn't be an issue. (You'd also need to replace the missing large pearl bead on one.)
