Stoneware jug maker

    It's a common makers mark, i just can't figure it out.

    Any ideas on maker and age?

    Is it a 2 gallon jug? If so, that is what the '2' means.

    Are the brown drips and spots dried residue that will wash off or is it turkey droppings from the kiln?
