Please help!

    Hi, I’ve inherited this beautiful piece of upholstered furniture from my Dad. He told me it was an antique kissing chair but now he’s gone I’ve no idea where it was from or it’s age or value. Does anyone here have a clue?

    Its a corner couch,like a banket . Its hard to see the carving,but I dont think its terribly old. Maybe 1920s . Thats a guess though.

    I have never heard of this term in the decorative arts field. The closest would be a tete-A-tete, but the configuration is different. I would call yours a corner settee. 4th quarter Victorian period, simplified Louis XV style.
