Question about English Vesta and Marks

    I bought a lot at an auction and this vesta or match case was in the lot. I've attached pictures of the marks. I want to make sure it's sterling before I list it. It was sold as something other than sterling but when I look at resources on English silver marks, it appears to be sterling.

    There are marks on the back and the underside of the little door.

    If anyone can tell me which it is, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Sterling late 19th C. marks possibly for Samson Morden, a popular maker.

    Thank you very much! I couldn't find the maker's mark either. I did find the date and was proud of myself for finding that much. lol
