Found 3 of these at auction recently, never before seen a cup with such a curious latticed foot and unable to find other examples.

Each has a beehive mark, but not Royal Vienna quality.

    Transfer print decoration.

    Any help or pointers welcomed.

That is curious. I guess it can't be a compote with just one handle... and it's small... cup-size?
How about an individual gravy boat?
    Okay, I'm stumped.

    Looks like 1890s-19teens demitasse cup.
Probably originated in Austria or Germany.

What's interesting is that the foot ring looks like it should sit on top of something, as if it is the lid.

    Adding:
The beehive mark is overglaze, so that was the decorator mark. Note there is as AU 72 or 82 also.

I'd definitely go with continental and date might be late victorian, or early twentieth century. Gila, it is ordinary cup size, with a pointy bottom! And like you, I'm stumped!

I've tried as many word combinations I can think of to describe the foot, but for the life of me I cant see another one like it.
