if anyone can help with this it is appreciated. Very nicely painted flowers better than what I usually see on these pieces. Measuring 11 inches in height and 4 inches wide. Thanks for any help E1A81B43-038B-4A65-92C3-6FA8DC4C2EB7.jpeg CE852C95-3E26-474F-9907-C7926E41C602.jpeg 348172FA-1A82-456C-8FF8-0A2F02B49C33.jpeg B1589A55-7BB1-4BEA-9738-392533DC539C.jpeg

Compare faces - the one you show looks more like the German, Japanese face painting

Next start looking at the colors used on older items. The colors on the first one aren't right for older.
    Also look at the hands.
Also the hole on the bottom is too big.

She could be 1990s early 2000. Winterhur, and I think Smithsonian, probably others were all selling Asian figurines through their catalogs.

    It is Chinese, however.

    Yes, I know that.
But the way the face is painted is newer. I was just saying it looks similar to the way the Japanese and Germans painted faces.
Crim was asking what to look for.

Agree, the 'rosy' cheeks are recent and a European influence. The applied dirt on the base and some other places is another sign, made to look old, so not old.;)
She is pretty, but the attempt to deceive through that applied dirt would be a letdown for me.

I didn't know how to describe that. It's really just paint around the hands, and crevices where you would expect dust to stick.

That “paint dirt” wipes off easily

Yes, it does. The base will clean up nicely too. It will look like an honest recent piece, much better.
