unknown knife/blade

    hi i recently found this while metal detecting think its bronze its 13cm in length it also says on one side 1573 and other W ASHCROFT Screen Shot 2017-03-11 at 11.39.43.png Screen Shot 2017-03-11 at 11.41.13.png

    I do believe 1573 refers to the tool steel used to make the knife.
