    I grew up with my (ex) Dutch SIL. My whole family learned to love rondos from the local Dutch Baker, long gone.

    I'm withholding them from my brother until he sends mom's address book I've been asking for :)

    That looks like a chocolate-covered cream puff, aka evil. (Googled it. Yeppers.) Now I want one! And a stroopwafel. And one of those evil almond things...wonder if you could make those in a cupcake tin.

    Oh god, those things are to DIE for. I did a cruise last year on a ship which had a Dutch Cafe. Those evil chocolate things were free. Oh dear.

    The Bossche bol is a specialty of 's Hertogenbosch (impossible name, pronunciation: Sairtogenbóss), the capital of our province. Here in Brabant we live by the Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt enjoy!:hilarious:
    It is the same in our sister provinces in Belgium. Unfortunately the old duchy of Brabant was split up into three provinces: the Dutch province of North Brabant, and the Belgian provinces of Brabant (around Brussels) and Antwerp.
    Life is to be enjoyed in all of Brabant.:playful:
