Crown Derby ? Plate

Hello Everyone! This plate has me a bit confused. I think it's Crown Derby but I can't reconcile the mark to the date. The plate measures 9 3/4" across. If I'm reading the mark correctly the code indicates 1939 and the decoration would seem about right for that era but the mark for 1939 should have been more ornate and the word England is nowhere to be found. Or do I have the wrong company all together. Any help would be much appreciated.

That looks more like an A than a D

To me I would have gone to Germany or Austria looking for the mark. Why do you think England?

 

Thanks for your response cluttered. Well that's kind of why I need help. In researching crown marks the closest I found was Crown Derby. Then when I found the "II" mark it seemed to fit as a Crown Derby date mark. I may need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

While searching for another mark I tripped over a Russian mark that seems to fit. I think its the mark of Alexander II - reign 1855-1881?
