    Hi Carol!

    Welcome to Antiquers......:cat:

Perhaps the pattern name is on the base?

    May we see the base?

Values can depend on where you are located, supply and demand. No set price for Meakin.

You're calling it a jug.....I see it as a teapot?

What does it say under MEAKIN?

Lettering is too small for my eyes and I can't click to enlarge?

    Aha! That makes sense!! (LOL)

I started to go through Replacements LTD photos of Meakin to seek pattern. There are 11 pages...........Perhaps you can find it. If they know the pattern name they will ID it as such, otherwise it just becomes a number in their catalogue.

Please wait for others to respond....someone here just might well know it off hand.:cat:

Searching will be easier if you can search pattern name. In the meantime, search eBay's completed and sold retro teapots for price sold, or price asked and not sold (completed sales) for Meakin teapots.

I haven't looked for similar patterns but the lid pattern doesn't seem to match the body pattern.

I don't know if this helps but I am finding this shape called Horizon or Sol Horizon. Here is a a little info that I've found which is a bit confusing but if it's just a price you're looking for, someone with a worthpoint account might be able to tell you what the listings shown sold for. Hopefully someone will come up with more info.

Coffee, teapots are more bulbous to allow for brewing. It's very 1950s: Festival of Britain atomic. Lid may be OK, Meakin did odd things.

I agree--the lid is more an atomic pattern (mid century modern) and the teapot body, well, isn't.

I didn't read every post. Was going to comment that I did not think this was a teapot.
Looks more like a water jug to me.
