Featured Antique potty chair

    My teacher neighbor was complaining on social media on how she never had time to use the bathroom when school was in session.

    I told her I had a new chair for her desk at school, and posted these pictures. She was amused.

    Anyway, I remember this chair being in the kitchen at the family farmhouse of my great grandmother when she was alive back in the 60's and 70's. I have no idea how old it is.

    Thinking this dates to 1910-20 or so. Ordinarily I'm not big on refinishing, but that could really help in this case.

    I wouldn't touch that stenciling. That's the best part of this chair.

    Apparently the seat portion got used, or was scrubbed quite a bit. :)

    Perhaps just a little furniture oil or minwax would help the seat?
