Rocking Chair Age??

Can anyone tell me how old these two rocking chairs might be, my grandfather had them so they have to be over 100 years old

 

Sometimes referred to as 'pressed back' rockers....I think turn of the 20th century.

 

you think both rockers are about the same age?

 

yes I think so without seeing the underside.....could be wrong but someone who knows a lot more then me will be along shortly

 

First is circa 1900 for sure. Something about the second one says reproduction but can't say for sure from this one photo.

This is an assertion I have heard over and over that is generally not true. For example, my grandfather who was born in 1891, lived a long life into the 1970s. He could have purchased furniture at any point in his life, with the bulk of his household purchases made in the 30s-50s. These things are not antique even today.

 

I am a grandfather! EEK!

 

You must be over 100 years old.

 

Hi,
My Mom became a grandmother at age 32. My cousin became a grandfather at 36. At one time there were six generations of us alive.
