Zhejiang Wicker Owl Box

I got this very cute little owl box today but I can't seem to find much info on him. He has a Zhejiang Handicrafts label on the bottom, looks 60's era to me but I don't know. There is also what appears to be a serial number or a price in francs? About 10 inches tall, square, the lady I got him from said there used to be two but the other got sold. Unfortunately he does have some damage and mold because he was sitting outside 24/7.

I looked up the name on the label but there was no company, only a region of China, so I'm assuming it was some sort of provincial community run business for tourists etc. I found lots of lovely Zhejiang wicker baskets and boxes online. However only a few were owls and all of those were smaller and round. So I have no info for a large square owl box.
