Strange it's not marked. With those colours, I'm thinking a 20th c. (Maybe first half) reproduction.

    Please note: I'm no expert!!!

But a google image search of "snuff taker toby" brings up similar jugs, some of which are Staffordshire.

    I think he's great!

Good ID, Batman: "The Snuff Taker." I didn't have any luck trying to ID him until seeing your message. I haven't a clue on maker and according to the following site, it seems this character was made by many. He is a bit unusual from other Tobys as he is standing. The following link has an c1840s one by Portobello Pottery. Top right:

    And another:
    https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/15163/lot/18/

Do note both of them have a grape motif around them like yours.

The bottom row, far right, of the following linked page has a snuff taker like yours in what appears striped pants and same color coat and hat as yours. It doesn't give any detailed info on him, but is on a Victorian Toby page. I certainly can't help on dating yours or telling country of origin like the others who have commented for they are the gurus,

Stumbled on the following page of Toby, etc.. snuff takers. Just couldn't refrain from posting it so the rest of the world can get their fill of snuff takers. Gee, they all look like they are picking their noses. I'll never again see a Toby snuff taker without seeing a nose picker.:meh::yuck:

It is a French site. Following us an Englush translation of it.

I am refraining from commenting on the teapot ones.

Snuff Taker, yes, but I still think not English. That pink looks wrong, so does the base and ground and the gilding.

    They do, don't they???

    Hahaha! *cough*

I was looking at the decoration on the hats - some have short vertical stripes that are painted - and thinking these were most often seen on the Staffordshire ones, but there's a French one on your linked page that has the same decoration. But then... what do I know?! LOL. Just glad I could help a little :).
