Its believed to be silver plate, however I`ve not cleaned or tested it yet.
    No markings anywhere.
Weighs 180 grams and is 5 inches tall.

    Two suggestions so far are;
    # 1 Draught beer pump handle (old ones were usually brass)
    # 2 Large bell handle from a church.
I will see if it will clean up and test it

Silverplate wouldn't lend itself to any kind of wear item like a handle.

    I'd guess a car vase.

I would think a beer tap would be bigger ?

Some are, the brass handpulled ones, but the electric ones are shorter.
Terry`s answer is looking good upto now.
Turned the other way with a posy in.

While I can't find fact to argue against that......it seems to heavy for a flower & the finial ....looks upside down....???

If Terry were to show one in use though.......I'd understand it better !

Could be a tap from some kind of coffee or tea urn?

It's the side mount that's throwing me. Maybe off a one-armed bandit? Or one of those flip card machines?

It could have had a glass insert to hold the flowers.
It may have been fixed in a limo or even a train carriage.

    Hi Davey,
This thread must have passed me when I missed it. Would have told you a bone holder could be ham but we used it mostly on large roasted birds like turkeys and geese. I would have answered sooner but the the electric keeps going off and on. A car took down the main lines late last night. Our development has underground lines but the power comes from outside lines on the poles. Cars have a knack for knocking them down.
