I've got three scrips to Steeplechase Park stamped 1946.

The only thing that I could find that was remotely like these was a book of them on etsy that was sold and the seller states they're from the 1960's.

These are entirely out of my knowledge zone.

Anyone know what things things are worth?

    Thanks :) 20170411_205447.jpg

So did I, but then again, I was close enough to bike ride there :)

Do you recall the penguins at the aquarium being taken for a walk in the afternoons?

I do. Born and raised in Sheepshead Bay. When I was young I once walked on the water side from Manhattan Beach to Brighton Beach, and then down to the Boardwalk.

That whole penguin exhibit was wiped out with Hurricane Sandy in 2012. It's still not rebuilt yet.

We moved out of Brooklyn in 2003. I miss the bagels and the bialys.

What are you asking about... the penguins, bagels or bialys?

    Yes :)

I'm fifty. We can do this all day...

I grew up going to the zoos and museums. I used to cut out of high school and spend the day at the Museum of Natural History.

    HA!!!
My late Dad :( would take off work and get me out of school to take me there on a Tuesday a few times a.year.
Because it was TEN CENTS literally no one would go! We had the whole zoo to ourselves. Thanks Dad!

My dad, when he was young, would have a nickel, take a date to Coney Island, eat, take her home, and have change.
