~ Odd Brass Vessel & Symbol ~

    Haven't been able to puzzle this thing out. Not even a plausible guess. The symbol seems somehow familiar. Rivet bumps are cosmetic.

    ?are there Chinese coins that look like that design

    Whatever it is, I think the design is reminiscent of a Japanese temple bell.
