Hi Everyone, been trying to find out what these are for a few days now, might simply be vases, they are very heavy.

1st one looks like an industrial light shade - 2nd picture is hard to see.

They are just that, probably from Mexico.

I agree with Johnny. Whenever I see those metal framed glass items, I immediately think of Mexico.

Good keywords to find similar pieces would be caged or imprisoned glass. Most of this stuff is from Mexico but even Seguso in Murano Italy made some.

Thanks eventually I will find it, the real question that will never be answered is how they ended up sitting out in the overgrown woods of Western Pennsylvania

They were made here, too. Nazeing and Whitefriars made them, for example.

Think these are pretty modern. Were in the big box decor stores within the last decade. Also remember some that were a bit more crude from the 80s.

Verybrad is correct, I saw similar and actually owned a couple pieces, I bought them at JoAnn Fabrics. Mine were outdoor stakes for yard candles. They were intentionally rusted. I did have a piece that was made with thinner wire I'm sure was antique, I'd found it in a thrift years before the new stuff started coming out. The wire was painted black. (I broke it).
