Houseful - What do you make of the hole in the grey area in James' picture posted just before your quoted post? Would such hole - with very clean edge - even be possible in a canvas? James - what is your observation of that hole and what it reveals?
The hole has been magnified and is only the depth of the painting Would you know of anyone who is an expert on Avecedo Bernal Thanks in advance
That's hard to say. Is there a corresponding hole in the materials between the now-removed board and the painting? Were the "wood worm" holes on the inward-facing side of the board?
Bakersgma, I'm thinking paper or card rather than fibrous canvas, but ready to be proved wrong. Houseful
