Any help please with these

Hi, I was given these years ago and have always wondered what they were and what they were used for. The little pot is made of wood and stands just under 1.05 inches high there is some writing on the base but can't make out what it says except there's a W and a N.

The other piece is made of bone I think and is 3 inches in length at the larger end it is hollowed out and has a hole in it.

 

I suspect the writing is much later than the turned wood piece.

Egg cup, maybe.

The bone piece, if it is bone, looks a bit like a large sewing needle, mending nets?

 

I think the top item is a dice shaker or dice cup.
