African carved wood bearded figure

He's 13" tall. Beard, hat and skirt seem like they'd help identify. Inherited - guessing obtained mid-century. Any info about him would be so appreciated.

    Definitely no relation to a Senufo rhythm pounder. Another souvenir carving from East Africa, probably Kenya, and may represent a member of the Gabra people who live in NE Kenya, along the Ethiopia/Somali borders.
