I have a hobnail glass cat shoe.
From my understanding Fenton and boyd both put these out but I'm seeing the same shoe under both names.

    What's the difference? 20160423_113518.jpg 20160423_113511.jpg 20160423_113500.jpg

Is there anything on the bottom of the shoe. Boyd is generally marked and Fenton after about 1972 is marked.

The basic "Puss in the Slipper" came from Columbia Glass Co. ca 1886 in Findlay Ohio. It's first version had Daisy & Button around the back half of the shoe with Alligator over the toe. Anything else is just a copy.
I'm not against copies, but have little regard for them. Good glass companies can innovate.

I would call your shoe a Fenton product.

It is difficult and confusing. The Boyd shoes that I can definitely identify have "tread" on the bottom, but not all do. I haven't found any Fenton shoes to be anything but hollowed or plain on the bottom.
The strip up the center back is plain on Boyd shoes, textured but not the overall design on Fenton.
To add to the confusion there is Kanawha that also is unmarked, plain in back with a textured bottom
