What is this glass dish? Ashtray?

    I have no clue. I've google image searched forever. It was mixed in with MIL's antique glass milk bottles.

    It looks to me like it is a glass insert for something. I have no idea what though.

    Kind of hard to tell without measurements. I think it looks like an insert for something, too.
