Are these black iridescent cultured pearls?

    It's funny, I'm not a big fan of pearls, but I would wear these in a heartbeat, I like them.

    Halfway down this page are the different terms for 'black' pearl shapes and colours:

    The page is about Tahitian, which yours are not. If they were, it would certainly be mentioned on the label. But descriptions of shapes etc. are the same.

    These are freshwater cultured, not classic cultured. They've probably been dyed that color. Freshwater pearls come dyed every color of the rainbow in addition to the natural ones.

    I love finding messed up pearl necklaces, bracelets, etc and remaking them. The OP's looks brand spanking new.
