Glass Paperweight with Embedded Penny Where Mark Should Be

    Hello folks! I've got a paperweight that is unsigned. Instead it has a penny where the signature should be. It is about 2 3/4" wide and about 2 1/8" tall. The penny is dated 1910 but the weight doesn't seem that old. Any help figuring out the who, when and where would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Looks like Nailsea glass but the coin is from the US?

    First thought..someone tried covering up damage with the penny....:grumpy:

    Can we not call it Nailsea, unless it was made there. ;)

    I don't think it's damaged, it's simply a broken pontil. But I do agree someone added the penny.

    The glass pretty well had to be hot when the penny was added, probably just after it was broken from the punty rod.
