Signed square flambe vase identification

Can anybody help identify this vase

I'm sort of thinking it looks like a newer Asian piece. Can you tell what it says? Any chance it's China?

It just looks like some modern decorator vases I've seen though usually they have more finished bottoms.

I thought new chinese as well. A clear pic of the signature on the bottom would help .

 

Yeah, I'm not sure at all about this one,

I don't think it's german

I for some reason really like it, it's looks and feels really well done

I thought it was mid 20th century art pottery

Try a little cornstarch or baby powder smeared into the signature, then lightly dust off. The letters might stand out better.

I thought maybe West German at first, but the base is all wrong. Belgian or French, 1960s I suspect.
