    It looks like part of an Asian thing, with Asian things missing;). Korean.

    It is an ancient, and most powerful medallion, manufactured by the Jade Emperor, to protect the common people against being served substandard dimsum at Chinese restaurants. Very valuable. Guard it with your life!

    ...in other words, I have no idea either. But it sure looks cute!

    Shangas, you've got the right idea, but the wrong country. It was commissioned by Gojoseon, the first ruler of Korea, and it served to protect kimchi from ever being eaten by foreigners. Or protect foreigners from ever having to eat kimchi.
