Lisa was busy but she was not the sign STIM, Sven Wejsfelt was. If Swedish is not your flavor, here's transl of brief bio from the above page:

I was wondering also if more than one designer worked on STIM, since the mothersweden site attributes the OP's dish to Larsen.

 

IMHO the attribution to Lisa Larson (not Larsen) was made by picking up attributions of items f/s all over the Net, not because Lisa actually designed a particular fish platter (that is all over the place in dozens of search results). Lisa's signature is not even on it if you check.

The word STIM is not an acronym and not a designer signature either. It's the name the Gustavsberg ceramic pottery company assigned to a series, a line if you will in sales parlance, of a particular theme pottery.

Stim is a Swedish word. It means shoal as in a shoal of fish, i e fish swimming together in a group, a shoal. Gustavsberg named a large collection, a line, of fish-themed ceramics STIM, and numbered the pieces per design, check backs on the pictured pieces in the auction listings.

@i need help Absolutely. The line STIM included many different ceramic artists. That Lisa Larson's name figures so prominently in so many auctions we can probably ascribe to "name familiarity". If a wellknown name can be hooked onto an auction description it shows up in searches. The listers then hope that their offerings will appeal to fans of the wellknown creations.

 

Sorry, INH, when I wrote that she, Lisa, was not the sign STIM, I was right. I checked just about all the Lisa Larson designs on the Mother Sweden site. She had not signed any of the fish themed ceramics that I could see.

I am quite familiar with Lisa Larson. In 1958 I bought a ceramic figurine by her as a birthday present for my little brother. I was leaving for England to study and wouldn't be home for his birthday, he would be 9 at the time.

The figure was entitled Pojken och Katten, i e, The Boy With The Cat. It was 20 cm high, and the little boy was holding the cat in front of him, hanging down the length of himself. It was ever so adorable, and I had to scrape far down in my pocket money to pay for it in the department store. My brother is now deceased but his daughter still has the figure she told me.

The figurine was later renamed Pelle med Katt. It is the same as the one shown here:

Sorry if I wasn't clear. The Fish figurines and platters in the STIM series appear to have been the design of Sven Wejsfelt, as shown here, again:

The fish figurines don't seem to have much in common with the dishes, as far as design.
