2 plates looking for information really

    IMG_4167.jpg Hi I was having an attic clear out then I came across these 2 plates

    I can tell they are old but they don't have any name on them

    What's your thoughts

    Hi graham & welcome to our forum!! :happy::happy:

    How big are the plates? Can we see a photo of the bottoms of the plates with a close up of any impressed, stamped or handwritten marks? Are there any signatures or initials on the front? These are usually found along the edge & can sometimes look like part of the design.

    The scenes look European, and I'm rather inclined to Mediterranean, specifically Italy. I can't decide if that's Vesuvius or not. Certainly cypresses. I think the blank may be Austrian with that letter on it. 19th C any how.
