apologies for the photo, but if possible how would you identify these?
Morris or just arts and crafts?
made of old growth pine, they have woven backs, spade feet, carved cross.

Nice. Early 20th Arts and Crafts. More Voysey than Morris to my eye.

Plus Morris chairs usually have reclining backs and I see no way for that to happen. Nice, though.

The arms are different. 2 of the 3 that can be seen do appear to match each other, but the third (the one closest to the camera) is more plain. Same goes for the front skirt and arm supports. Is the 4th a match for that plain one?

    Hi,
Looks like crosses on the backs. Perhaps church chairs.

Gregsglass, I think you are on the right track. I think they may be "chancel" chairs for the minister(s) and the acolyte(s)?

Assume you are in England and mean Wm. Morris and Co. chairs as opposed to a Morris recliner? I think pretty generic church chairs that could have been made by anyone. May also have been made over time by two such anyones. Note that the chair in front only matches in basic form and back arch with decoration. I like the ones with Mackmurdo feet best.

I'd thought William was what was meant. Yes, church chairs. Those would sell well here.

I knew you probably knew ;)........ but here in the US, a Morris chair is synonymous with a reclining chair.
