GERMAN SILVER What is the meaning of REU?

    IMG_2522.JPG This is a German souvenir bottle cork. Marked 800REU. I understand the 800 but am having difficulty with understanding the REU.

    I see that mark in many souvenir items. Can you tell me what REU means? TIA! IMG_2523.JPG

    REU means it was made by Fritz Reu & CO. Metallwarenfabrik in Neubach/Württemberg, Germany. They made a lot of enameled silver souvenirs.
