Featured Really well made costume brooch

    I suspect this is 1950s or even 40s. It's incredibly well made. Each glass bead is on a stalk which is then soldered in at the back. Very heavy, too. It can stand upright, too, very well balanced. Wouldn't you think it would have a maker's name?

    I agree, just after WWII. And very well made, charming too.

    The pin isn't, but you never know, the basket could be.

    The pin mechanism says "costume" but it's a fool-ya for sure. A lot of places could have done it on both sides of the Atlantic.
