Could anyone point me in the right direction on this hook? Found for sale at an antique flea market in PA. Paid a few dollars. It’s clearly handmade but I could imagine things were still being hand done on small farms well into the early 1900’s? How can I get more specific in date? Any good books or websites? Other thoughts?

In one of the pictures you can see where they folded the iron to make the top part.

Looks like a barn door strap hinge with a bent end.

Thanks! It did remind me a bit of a door hinge I had seen on a 1750’s house. (Though I’m certainly unsure date on this item.) The bent end confused me. Maybe it was once a flat bar door strap hinge but repurposed later as a hook?
