Looking for help to ID Age/Era? Manufacturer of this. If you look at the top of the barrel, it appears that it was milled flat and capped almost as if the machined details that couldn't be machined otherwise and then capped. On the top of the "stock area" there is an insert there as well. This is a beast and just can't see this much craftmanship put into lawn art - I owned a CNC machine shop and this thing is built. I am thinking a naval swivel gun/cannon that later was repurposed but would like others more knowledgable to offer their expertise - Thanks in advance IMG_2648.jpg IMG_2646.jpg IMG_2644.jpg IMG_2645-3.jpg

I could be wrong, but it looks more decorative than ceremonial.

I know very little about, but it is so well built 100+lbs and has some machining features that seem odd if decorative. The top appears to be milled and capped

normally I would agree but look at the top of barrel. It looks as if it was milled and recapped....also look at the top of the "stock" if it was lawn art, why would they have that feature? not arguing, just pointing out some details to consider if you didn't see. Also, I see swivel cannons that look like rifles

Whatever you do, don't attempt to load this thing, if you do, you will blow up good!

The feature on top of the "stock" may have been for mounting the "rifle" part in front of a gun store for advertisement. Then someone repurposed it by mounting it on some old tractor wheels.

I agree with the repurposed and wheels added. Gun/barrel construction appears way to well build for storefront. I owned a CNC machine shop and cannot see someone putting this much work into.
