DSC_2233.jpg DSC_2234.jpg Hello again antiquers, we have this Chinese porcelain piece about 11" in height. We would like to know it's time period. There is some smokiness inside, which makes it appear older. Any info is much appreciated!

Picture of the base may help - but I'd tend to agree with komokwa - probably mid to late 20th century.

How could there be any doubt, with a Made in Hong Kong sticker in English?

Items like this were made in Hong Kong and Macau in the 1950s-70s during the US ban on Mainland Chinese imports. The sanctions were often avoided by marking Mainland goods as Made in Hong Kong or Macau, so the mark here may not genuinely indicate Hong Kong production.

The Gothborg site says that items this mark were made in China and decorated in Hong Kong. Scroll down the following page to the section "Jiaqing Nian Zhi, Da Qing" that says:

"Mark referring to the Qing dynasty Jiaqing period 1796-1820 but is later. During the 1960s to 70s this was a common mark on porelain made in China but decorated in Macao or Hong Kong."

    and look at number #760

Made in Hong Kong here usually means 1980s or earlier.
