Crystal or patterned glass?

    Hi and welcome Josie - It looks crystal to me. If nothing else the foot gives it away. I would guess a lead crystal blank with some cutting. Probably fairly recent but not badly done.

    The base looks newer.
    Turn the vase over and look at each groove, both sides of the cut, and around the edge of the base. It may be signed. Use a damp cloth and moisten as you look. Sometimes acid etched marks will show up better if they get dampened.

    You may or may not find a stamped mark.

    Remember in the US makers used crystal as a color term so this would be US crystal. In the EU crystal refers to having 24% lead content. Molded means it was formed in a mold the glass may have been blown in or pressed in with a plunger. This looks pressed in a mold possibly with some cuts.
