any info would be great it has a stamp mark on front that must have been put on after glaze as my wife washed it with windex. Luckly 20200816_130618_resize_94.jpg took a pic of mark before some was removed. Why is it there and what does it mean? 20200816_131750.jpg 20200816_131856.jpg 20200816_131935.jpg 20200816_130752_resize_59.jpg Screenshot_20200816-131011_Gallery_resize_91.jpg

Just my opinion: the 'mark' is a defect, probably done in the making of it.

I thought that might be so. I see no other reason would they would put on the front.

I am not impressed by the decoration on the OP's platter, in particular the poor quality of the "painting" and the choice of the splotchy green background. The color combination is more modern than old. Having the ink stamp misplaced on the face is just another indication of rushed production - should never have left the factory.

If you can call it anything, you can call it famille verte (verte is green in French, verde is green in Spanish. ;))

My French teacher was a horrible man, and he only had one arm

Probably not worth putting you though to the exams he told me

Anyway I knuckled down and ended up getting a B

He interviewed me for my A levels, and said o you got a B for French

If you had worked a little harder you could have got an A ! :shifty:

Mind you thinking about it I was no angel :smug:
