Hi I have a friend who is restoring a 1851 violin for my daughter. He found this I believe he said in the violin. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the language or if they could translate. Thanks ahead of time. IMG_1700.JPG

When Natasha knows we need her help, she makes an effort.
Even if it isn't Russian, it is in Cyrillic script, and she will be able to figure something out. But I think it is too late in Ukraine now, hopefully she'll see this tomorrow.

    Hi everybody,

I beleive what you found in the violin are two fragments of newspapers (magazines), one with the text, the second one with the poem. The fragments have nothing to do with the violin, moreover they are from the recent times. I can tell this from the language style of the text which is modern. The first fragment tells about some publication of 1870-1873 with the portrait of its author. The second one is, as I mentioned, a poem.
    Sorry to disappoint you.
P.S. I've got very interesting ceramic pieces but cannot load anything. It says: error

Hi Natasha. You're used to uploading pictures, so it may be a temporary problem. Or maybe you should adjust the size even more. If that doesn't work, you can post the problem in the Support & Testing forum.
